A GROUNDBREAKING FORMAT THAT VALUES EVERY PARTICIPANT

Unlike traditional competitions, the format is based on a precise principle: all participants will gain access to the official digital exhibition inside the Oriol Room during the Milano Photo Awards 2026.
The works will be included in an immersive digital exhibition path shared with Estevan Oriol’s main exhibition.
Only the final 3 winners will additionally receive the printing and physical exhibition of their works during the event.
2. DEADLINE
The deadline for submissions is set for August 15, 2026 (11:59 PM CET). No entries will be accepted after this date.
3. REGISTRATION METHODS
The competition is open to amateur photographers, enthusiasts, and non-professional photographers of any age and nationality. Registration must be completed using the participant’s real name. Pseudonyms or anonymous registrations are not accepted. The contest is independent from the main Milano Photo Awards categories and is dedicated exclusively to street photography, documentary photography, and urban storytelling.
Participation fee: €50.
The fee guarantees access to the official digital exhibition inside the Oriol Room and also grants the right to compete for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes.
4. MATERIAL TO SUBMIT
Each participant must upload on the official website www.milanophotoawards.com:
It is possible to request a 7-day extension for the upload.
The use, even partial, of artificial intelligence is prohibited. If verified, the author will be disqualified, even retroactively.
5. JURY
The jury will be composed of curators, artistic directors, international photographers, and representatives from the photography industry. Estevan Oriol will participate as Lead Judge of the contest.
The full jury list will be announced before the final selection.
6. EXHIBITION AND DISPLAY
All participants will have their works exhibited digitally inside the Oriol Room during the Milano Photo Awards 2026.
The works will be included in an immersive digital exhibition path shared with Estevan Oriol’s main exhibition.
The 3 final winners will additionally have their works printed, framed, and physically exhibited during the event.
Prints may be collected free of charge on site. Shipping is not provided.
6 BIS. RIGHT OF EXCLUSION
The organization reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to exclude works considered offensive, discriminatory, violent, pornographic, inappropriate, or not coherent with the artistic and curatorial context of the event.
In the event of exclusion, the participation fee will be fully refunded.

8. PRIZE PAYMENT
Cash prizes will be paid via bank transfer within 90 days after the conclusion of the event.
9. WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT
The winners will be announced by August 25, 2026, via email and on the official website.
10. COPYRIGHT
All rights remain the property of the photographers. Authors grant TheStreetSoup a non-exclusive 3-year license solely for the purpose of promoting the author and the event.
All participants understand that any image submitted to the Contest may be used by the Milano Photo Awards and its Event Partners exclusively for marketing and promotional purposes related to the author and the event itself, for a maximum of three years from the date of registration.
11. LIABILITY
The participant guarantees all necessary consents. TheStreetSoup declines responsibility for any violations. Legal claims will be the sole responsibility of the participant.
Any civil or criminal legal actions arising from claims shall be attributable exclusively to the participant, who declares full legal responsibility for the submitted works.
12. CANCELLATION CLAUSE
In the event of cancellation (except in cases of war or natural disasters), participants will be entitled to a refund of the registration fee. Travel, accommodation, or other expenses will not be reimbursed.
13. PRIZE LIABILITY
Prize distribution is entirely the responsibility of TheStreetSoup. Partners are not responsible for the distribution of prizes.
14. PARTICIPATION CONTRACT
By registering and paying the participation fee, the participant fully accepts these rules and contract; acknowledges TheStreetSoup as the sole owner; declares liability for the works; accepts that, in the event of exclusion or failure to deliver or send the material, he or she will not be entitled to reimbursement.
